    Project: Black hawk jk.

This Jeep was already mildly built when purchased. Almost all the previously installed mods have been changed or upgraded.

This is what she looked like when I purchased her.

First thing I did was remove the previously given name, new owner... new name.. this Jeep is about to get a whole new life and identity.

New 30" Lifted Trucks USA decals were applied to the side of the hoods after a quick polish over at Driven Perfection.

This was my next mod to the Jeep, Wild Boar grab handles.

Next was to switch out the perfectly fine Rugged Ridge bumper for something a lil bit more my style...

Black Hawks first "meet" was at Offroad Elements Jeeps and Tacco's event.

Installed new ATX Ravine wheels and 37" BF Goodrich Mud TA tires , I sold the Mickey Thompson wheels and 35" tires that came on the vehicle.

My next project was to get rid of this and loose the spare when I upgrade to bigger tires.

Plate delete with a Poison Spyder plate and spare tire delete filler.

Had the tailgate buffed out by Tony at Factory Collison in Weyouth.

I also removed the "pool float" plastic factory rear bumper cover.

Up front I decided to install a Warn VR1200 synthetic rope winch and a set of Rigid Industries Dually pod lights.

Also fabbed up a cool plate bracket.

    Hit a few events:

Jeep Meet at the Beach in Plymouth.

Removed the peeling billet grill inlays and installed some nice new OPAR units.

At the Foxboro / Bass Pro Shop meets. Notice the Factory tube steps are gone and the peeling grill inserts are replaced w/ OPAR units.

    Paint the lower body tub...

    Installed...

    And with D rings installed.

Next project was to dye the exterior door handles back to dark black again. I used Girots garage cleaner/ dye kit that I had left over from years ago when I restored some black plastic pieces on my H2.

    Old and gray...

Gotta mask off paint, the dye will stain it.

Look at the front vs. the rear in color...

    Did my cowl protectors too.

After everything was dry I installed Drake door handle inlays.

    Removed the Bushwacker fender flares...

    Installed metal Smittybuilt fender flares.

Installed some ACE fender liners next.

Also note I swapped out the silver for black on the Drake hood hold downs as well.
